The Blue Boar Inn
A listed coaching inn built in 1685 in the heart of the village, The Blue Boar Inn offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Period charm is retained with low-beamed ceilings, an inglenook fireplace and cosy corners in the main bar.
Accommodation is in five comfortably furnished cottage-style rooms with a range of facilities, including flatscreen TVs, free Wi-Fi and a free travel cot for babies.
The restaurant serves fine local produce: beef from Binham, mussels from Brancaster, and herbs from the gardens. The bar offers a range of fine Norfolk ales and also has a beer garden.
Great Ryburgh is an attractive village built along the River Wensum and is noted for its large traditional malting. The bustling market town of Fakenham, boasting one of the country’s finest National Hunt racecourses, is only four miles away. Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, the home of BBC’s Springwatch, is also nearby.
The North Norfolk Heritage Coast, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty featuring charming villages, unspoilt beaches and bustling quaysides, is easily accessible, while the cathedral city of Norwich is within fifty minutes.
