Tuttington Hall
Tuttington Hall, an imposing period farmhouse surrounded by delightful gardens and the owners’ farm, is a perfect rural retreat in the heart of Norfolk. Warm hospitality is the watchword here, starting with scones, cakes and tea served on arrival in the elegant drawing room, where a cosy log fire burns in winter.
Delicious candlelit dinners in the dining room or more informal meals in the garden room are all prepared using home produced or locally sourced meat, fruit, eggs and vegetables and the breakfasts feature the farm’s champion sausages.
The Bed and Breakfast accommodation is in a refurbished wing of the farmhouse; the spacious rooms are decorated in stylish simplicity with gleaming en suite bathrooms and luxury linen.
Tuttington is very well situated for exploring all the attractions of Norfolk. The historic market town of Aylsham is only ten minutes away and from here the Bure Valley Railway travels to Wroxham, the ‘capital’ of the magnificent Norfolk Broads. The National Trust Blickling Hall, one of England’s great Jacobean houses, is within five miles.
The North Norfolk Coast, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, is a short journey and the cathedral city of Norwich for medieval treasures and great shopping is a half hour drive.
