Heacham Manor
Shortlisted for small hotel of the year in the East of England Tourism Awards, Heacham Manor provides sumptuous hotel accommodation and offers golf packages as well as family and pet-friendly lodging.
All rooms are comfortably furnished and the superior, deluxe and manor suites offer increasing levels of luxury, including fabulous views, four-posted beds, deep-pile carpets and lavish furniture in spacious surroundings. Modern amenities include high-speed internet and flat-screen TVs.
The beautiful gardens feature a coast-facing terrace, arbours, ponds, and a 400-year-old mulberry tree, which legend holds was planted by Pocahontas who once stayed in the area.
The highly-rated restaurant, boasting an AA Rosette for fine dining, serves fabulous cuisine based on local produce in a conservatory overlooking the 18-hole golf course and the coastline. Self-catering accommodation is also available in the adjacent Heacham Manor Cottages.
The tranquil village of Heacham boasts two sandy beaches which are illuminated by glorious long-lasting, west-facing sunsets. The fields of the famous Norfolk Lavender Company are a stone’s throw from the hotel. Nearby Hunstanton offers traditional resort entertainment and exciting water sports.
During winter thousands of pink-footed geese can be seen flying over Heacham, and the RSPB birdwatching reserve of Snettisham is just along the coast. Sandringham, the much-loved residence of HM The Queen, is only seven miles away and the museums and market places of the historic port town of King’s Lynn are a twenty-five minute drive.
