In a large Victorian property, Ashbourne House provides five star Bed and Breakfast accommodation, along with a spacious landscaped garden sloping up to the clifftop walks offering commanding views of the coastline and pathways down to the beach.

The four individually named and decorated rooms provide comfort in the shape of king-size or super king-size beds, seating areas and complimentary toiletries, while modern amenities include freeview TV and free Wi-Fi.

There is also a cosy guest lounge, open seating area on the landing and a small balcony overlooking the garden for guest use, while the front garden offers a relaxing place in which to enjoy the setting sun.

Breakfast is made from local produce and eggs laid by the owner’s free range chickens, while guests are greeted with sherry on arrival.

Sheringham, once a small fishing village, is a charming seaside town with Blue Flag-winning sandy beaches and a links golf course. The nostalgic ‘Poppy Line’ Steam Railway runs through beautiful countryside to the Georgian market town of Holt and its famed boutiques.

The National Trust Sheringham Park boasts wonderful walks and views in the landscaped parks and gardens designed in 1812 by the renowned Humphry Repton. The magnificent National Trust Felbrigg Hall is another nearby attraction.

Nature reserves, salt marshes, unspoilt beaches, charming villages and sunbathing seals are among the many delights of the North Norfolk Heritage Coast, easily explored via road or the Norfolk Coast Path, a national hiking trail. The fine cathedral city of Norwich is a forty-minute drive.
