Meadow House

Meadow House, a charming brick and flint house, overlooks the family farm on the edge of the village, and there are peaceful views from the bedrooms and stabling for horses.Breakfast is taken in the drawing room which overlooks the garden which has a very pretty bed of roses to look upon.

The rooms are comfortably furnished in a traditional, welcoming style with handmade fittings and period furniture complemented by gleaming new bathrooms.

There are footpaths from the cottage and it is possible to walk to the magnificent Houghton Hall, once the residence of Great Britain’s first Prime Minister Sir Robert Walpole, where there are magnificent interiors, an award-winning garden and a remarkable deer park.

The Queen’s Norfolk retreat at Royal Sandringham is only eight miles away and a few miles further the celebrated North Norfolk Heritage Coast is easily accessible.

Harpley is also a short drive from the ancient port of King’s Lynn, for a fascinating collection of historic buildings, streets and courtyards. The cathedral city of Norwich, lies an hour’s drive to the east, with a wealth of architectural gems, both traditional and modern. The city is famed for its diverse shopping options and a cultural scene of first-class museums, galleries and theatres.
