The Lawns

The Lawns Wine Bar and Hotel provides AA Gold Award Bed and Breakfast accommodation in a property with huge lawns and a heated garden house.

The luxurious rooms are bright and spacious and overlook the grounds of the historical Gresham Public School. Luxuries include ultra-comfortable hypnos beds and Egyptian cotton sheets and covers, while modern facilities such as freeview TVs and DVDs are also plentiful.

The restaurant and wine bar holds an AA rosette for culinary excellence and offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu, with a traditional roast on a Sunday.

Holt is an attractive Georgian market town with a range of antique stores, galleries, boutiques and tea rooms occupying the colourful maze of side streets and alleyways.

Letheringsett Mill, Norfolk’s last working watermill, is a local attraction, while Holt is also the terminus of the nostalgic ‘Poppy Line’ steam railway, which runs through scenic countryside to the Blue Flag resort town of Sheringham.

The North Norfolk Heritage Coast, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, is nearby. Unspoilt beaches, Europe’s finest salt marshes, RSPB reserves and bustling fishing villages are all within a short journey from Holt. The cathedral city of Norwich is a forty-five minute drive.
