The Willow House

This charming thatched inn was converted from two cottages; the atmosphere is cosy and traditional with large fireplaces and exposed beams. The excellent restaurant has an extensive menu, and the bar has a large selection of real ales, lagers and wines from around the world.

The en suite bed and breakfast accommodation is chalet style and very comfortable, with many thoughtful extras provided.

Watton is close to Thetford Forest, the largest lowland pine forest in Britain, where there are twenty-six marked walking trails and many cycling routes. The Tudor manor house Oxburgh Hall is nearby, and the historic city of Norwich, with its Norman castle and cathedral and famous outdoor market, is just forty minutes away.

The splendid North Norfolk Heritage Coast is just an hour’s drive, with wide beaches that sweep along its northern coastline – perfect for bucket-and-spade holidays – and the breezy salt marshes behind that offer unbeatable bird-watching, as well as fascinating coastal towns and villages.
