The Ostrich Inn, South Creake

In a traditional 17th century inn set among rolling farmland, The Ostrich Inn provides Bed and Breakfast accommodation with independent access to the comfortably decorated rooms, two of which feature king-size beds.

The restaurant menu changes to reflect seasonal local produce while the bar offers a range of CAMRA recommended ales. Breakfast is a comprehensive continental selection delivered to the room.

The attractive village of South Creake is built around the River Burn with a number of wooden footbridges. The 13th century Church of St Mary is noted for a beautiful hammer beamed roof decorated with carved angels. Bloodgate Hill is a rare example of an Iron Age Norfolk fort and is open to the public.

The Heritage Coast, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty with charming villages and several nature reserves, is only five miles away, with the magnificent Holkham Hall and its beach voted Britain’s finest being the nearest point. The bustling market town of Fakenham is also a short drive.
