The Ship Hotel
Just a short distance from the sea and Brancaster Staithe, The Ship Hotel provides stylish hotel accommodation. The nine comfortable rooms, including a family suite, were designed by the London-based Indigo interior design agency and are fully equipped.
Features of the family-friendly and dog-friendly accommodation include king-size beds and flat-screen TVs.
The restaurant has a menu devised by Chris Coubrough, star of ITV’s Coastal Kitchen, and specialises in preparing fresh, locally caught seafood. The garden is ideal for alfresco summer dining, while in winter the hub of the hotel is the cosy bar with a wood-burner.
Brancaster is an attractive coastal area of sailing boats and fishing dinghies where Lord Nelson reputedly learned to sail. The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club is one of the UK’s most famous – and challenging – links courses.
The Ship Inn is well-placed for nature lovers with the RSPB’s Titchwell reserve a mile west and Scolt Head Island National Nature Reserve accessible by boat.
The stunning Heritage Coast, with unspoilt beaches, charming villages and sunbathing seals can be easily accessed by road and the Norfolk Coast Path. The medieval port town of King’s Lynn is a forty-minute drive.
