Gunthorpe Hall

Part designed by Sir John Soane, Gunthorpe Hall provides accommodation for up to 45 guests in a listed Georgian/Victorian country hall, surrounded by formal gardens, parkland and a private lake.

The centrepiece is the large oak hall with a carved staircase and a grand piano. The drawing room also has access to the gardens and a billiard room.

Rooms are fabulously decorated and come in a range of styles, including four-poster bedrooms. The Wing House is an adjacent self-contained holiday house with breathtaking views.

The dining table extends to seat up to seventy people and the kitchen, dating back to the 1600s, is well-equipped. Elegant cooking with rural flair and inspired by produce from the grounds is offered to suit a variety of needs.

Gunthorpe Hall is near Melton Constable, where the Hall is a fine specimen of the Christopher Wren style and the park was designed by Capability Brown. Within five miles, Holt is an attractive market town with numerous antiques stores, galleries, boutiques and bistros.

The North Norfolk Heritage Coast, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, is easily accessible, with nature reserves, charming villages, basking seals and salt marshes all within a short journey.
