The Blakeney White Horse
The White Horse provides chic but simple coastal hotel accommodation in a former coaching inn, where the bar has a firm focus on fine seafood.
Nine rooms are individually and tastefully decorated, many sea facing and some with original feature beams, with a range of needs catered for, including families.
Food is sourced using local supply lines (think Norfolk lamb and beef, Cromer crab) and dining is in the bustling bar, the light conservatory or the pretty courtyard. An extensive menu, including lighter options, is served along with real ales and fine wines.
Blakeney itself is an historic gem of a village. Flint fishermen’s cottages line the narrow streets, leading to a small tidal harbour. The fabulous Blakeney Point is a nature reserve with an array of wildlife and a famous seal colony.
The village is at the heart of the Norfolk Coast Path, a national hiking trail along the spectacular Heritage Coast through salt marshes, sand dunes, and unspoilt beaches. The cathedral city of Norwich is a fifty-minute drive.
