Hempstead Hall
Hempstead Hall offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation within a magnificent 19th century farmhouse in a splendidly bucolic setting. The grounds include a kitchen garden, acres of farm fields, an abundance of wildlife, and the River Glaven also cuts through the farm.
En suite rooms are well-decorated and boast modern amenities. A traditional Aga-cooked breakfast is made with home-grown tomatoes and eggs.
Keen ramblers can join the footpath that passes through the farm, taking a five-mile circular route to the beautiful Holt Country Park.
The Georgian town of Holt is nearby, with excellent shopping, including one-off boutiques, fine delis and antiques traders. The nostalgic ‘Poppy Line’ steam railway runs from Holt to the Blue Flag resort town of Sheringham.
The delights of the North Norfolk Heritage Coast, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, are a short drive away and include: the seal sanctuary at Blakeney, RSPB reserves, picturesque salt marshes and unspoilt beaches. The cathedral city of Norwich is a forty-minute drive.
