The Kings Head Inn, Acle
The King’s Head has recently been refurbished and provides comfortable Bed and Breakfast accommodation and a traditional restaurant. The fine Broads fishing nearby attracts anglers, and the inn is fifteen minutes from the start of the Weaver’s Way walk at Acle Bridge.
The bustling market town of Acle has some very attractive seventeenth and eighteenth century buildings and a church which is more than nine hundred years old. A small market is held every Thursday, vastly different from the traditional livestock market of years gone by.
Acle is one of the gateways to the Norfolk Broads, celebrated for miles of unspoilt waterways, nature reserves and wetlands, with wildlife to spot and boating and fishing on offer.
It is situated just ten minutes east of Norwich, for a fascinating mix of historic treasures and fine modern shopping and dining. Great Yarmouth and the long sandy beaches of the East Norfolk Coast are also only eight miles away.
