Morston Hall Hotel & Restaurant

In a traditional 17th century English Country House, Morston Hall provides luxury hotel accommodation listed in the Good Hotel Guide and a previous winner of East Anglia Small Hotel of the Year, among other accolades.

It offers individually decorated rooms in the country house style, where beds are sumptuous and toiletries are deluxe. Amenities such as Wi-Fi, flastscreen TVs and in some cases Tilevision TVs are provided, and the hotel is dog and family friendly.

Communal areas include a stone-flagged hall, two lounges, a conservatory and a terrace overlooking extensive gardens.

The only restaurant within a fifty-mile radius to hold three rosettes and a Michelin Star serves a four-course dinner, with a menu composed daily using whichever fresh local produce is available that day, all impeccably prepared and served by Head Chef Galton Blackiston. There is an impressive wine list of more than 100 wines and champagnes. Cooking demos and courses are also available.

Breakfast, too, is a strictly gourmet affair with morning porridge slow-cooked overnight, haddock and kippers smoked in the on-site smokehouse, and Full English.

Morston is an attractive cobbled village and Morston Marsh is home to numerous rare birds and ablaze with sea lavender in summer. Sightseeing boats to the basking seals of Blakeney Point can be taken from here.

The many delights of the Heritage Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty, are easily accessible from Morston, with the Norfolk Coast Path popular with walkers. The fine cathedral city of Norwich is a fifty-minute drive.
