The Mill House

This former mill owner’s home, built in 1860, stands in three-quarter-acre lawns and provides Bed and Breakfast accommodation close to the charming town centre of Wells-next-the-Sea.

Rooms are classic in style, with iron bedsteads, period fireplaces and velvet armchairs, plus the usual amenities. Communal areas include an attractive guest sitting room and dining room where breakfast is served, with an adjoining patio overlooking mature gardens.

Wells-next-the-Sea is a thriving harbour town with a mixture of Georgian and Victorian architecture, a range of independent stores and art galleries. A miniature steam train connects the popular quayside to a sandy beach fringed by pine forests and colourful beach huts.

The nature reserves and unspoilt beaches of the Heritage Coast are easily accessible by car or the Norfolk Coast Path. The magnificent Holkham Hall and its beach which doubled as the Caribbean in ‘Shakespeare in Love’ are nearby, while the famous seals of Blakeney Point are a few miles away. The fine city of Norwich is a fifty-minute drive.
