The Grange Hotel

The Grange Hotel is a gem of Edwardian architecture with an impressive hall and staircase and spacious bedrooms, some in a ground floor annexe. Communal areas include a bar, guest sitting room and an excellent restaurant specialising in both British and Indian cuisine.

There is much to see in the ancient port of King’s Lynn: elegant merchant’s houses, medieval riverside warehouses and the celebrated Custom House, once described as the most perfect building in Britain.

Of historic interest nearby Sandringham, the Queen’s Norfolk residence, and Burnham Thorpe, Nelson’s birthplace, are a short drive away. Nearby Houghton Hall, the residence of Great Britain’s first Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, has magnificent interiors and an award winning garden with a remarkable deer park.

For outdoor pursuits, the picturesque North Norfolk Coast is a big draw here, just half an hour away, with long sandy beaches and abundant wildlife alongside charming coastal towns and brick and flint villages.
