Caley Hall Hotel

Built in 1648, this former manor house was once part of the Le Strange estate and in the present day stands as a luxury Country House Hotel. The surrounding gardens of the old estate are beautifully planted, and there is also a relaxing lounge area.

The restaurant, which offers dining in the characterful surroundings of a converted stable house, serves fine food, bestowed with an AA Rosette, and has an extensive wine list.

Rooms are equipped with modern amenities – including digital flatscreen TVs with DVD players, high-speed Wi-Fi and air conditioning – but retain their original character. Deluxe accommodation is available in the four-poster suite with whirlpool bath. Families are accommodated in spacious family suites with their own outside entrances, and dog-friendly rooms are also offered.

Old Hunstanton is a tranquil village with a sandy beach and a links golf course. The Norfolk Coast Path, a national hiking trail, follows the dramatic shoreline east along the North Norfolk Heritage Coast, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.

Local attractions include the Queen’s rural retreat at Sandringham and the RSPB reserve at Titchwell. The medieval port town of King’s Lynn, with its fabled architecture and several museums, is a twenty-five minute drive.
