The Chequers

The historical Chequers Inn is full of country charm with its fine thatched roof, whitewashed walls and exposed beams. The inn has a popular bar and restaurant and a garden with a children’s play area.

The en suite bedrooms are adjacent to the inn with their own entrance and patio, and have every modern convenience including Wi–Fi access in the rooms.

Thompson is a peaceful village with many thatched houses and a village green. It is surrounded by a network of country lanes and there is much to see locally, including the Peddar’s Way footpath and the Pingo trail.

The village is also close to the market town of Watton, Snetterton Race Circuit and Thetford Forest, the largest lowland pine forest in Britain, where a network of waymarked trails and cycle routes provide easy access to the natural beauty.

The cathedral city of Norwich and the celebrated Norfolk Broads are both under an hour’s drive.
