The Victoria at Holkham

After undergoing a multi-million refurbishment and reopening in May 2013, The Victoria at Holkham provides modern country accommodation close to the Holkham Hall Estate and its acres of fabulous grounds.

Each of the ten rooms, some with marsh views, are individually designed with a stylish blend of contemporary and antique furniture, including some objects procured from the attics of Holkham Hall itself. Amenities include freeview TVs with built-in DVD players, and dogs are also welcome in selected rooms.

The restaurant holds two AA Rosettes for fine dining and serves a menu based on fine local produce including Cromer Crab, Brancaster Mussels and beef and game from the Holkham Estate, supported by an eclectic wine list and range of Adnams beers.

Holkham Hall itself is a magnificent 18th century Palladian mansion set on a 25,000-acre agricultural estate. The Victoria is a short walk from the dunes of the exceptional Holkham Beach, which doubled as the Caribbean in Shakespeare In Love and has been hailed as Britain’s finest sands by Coast Magazine.

The Heritage Coast, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty with dramatically changing coastline, nature reserves and charming villages, can be explored by road or the Norfolk Coast Path, a national hiking trail.
