Manor Barn and Farmhouse

Manor Farmhouse provides Bed and Breakfast accommodation in a splendid part-Tudor/part-Georgian farmhouse, mentioned in Pevsner’s ‘The Buildings of England – Norfolk’, or the Grade II-listed, recently converted 16th Century barn.

The farmhouse exudes period charm with brick and flint walls, old beams, a partly thatched roof and shrubbery climbing the frontage. Guests can even play croquet on the lawn in summer months. The two stylishly decorated rooms exude charm with log fires, a roll-top bath and elegant sitting rooms, with amenities including flat-screen DVD TVs.

Manor Barn, meanwhile, offers similar luxury in a vaulted sitting room, a brick and flint stable courtyard garden and three handsomely decorated rooms, with similar facilities, including a four-poster bed in one.

Breakfast is served in the elegant panelled dining room in the farmhouse, with a choice of Norfolk traditional, continental or smoked salmon bagels. Three course dinners are also available.

Happisburgh is a picturesque coastal village with winding streets lined with brick and flint cottages, an historic lighthouse and a fourteenth century brick and stone church. Travelling along the coast from Happisburgh reveals many delights, including seals on the beach in Bacton and the Blue Flag resorts of Cromer and Mundesley.

Further inland are the Norfolk Broads with their picturesque waterways and fine opportunities for rambling, sailing and fishing. The cathedral city of Norwich is a forty-five minute drive.
