Manor House Farm, Wellingham

In beautifully converted stables in the grounds of a working, conservation, award-winning farm, Manor House Farm provides Bed and Breakfast accommodation.

Part of the National Garden Scheme and featured in Country Life magazine, the lovely gardens are of special interest; there is a rose tunnel, pond and specimen trees as well as a small herd of deer that roam the site. Next door is a thirteenth century church with resident barn owl.

The converted stable wing is spacious and beautifully decorated in a fresh and bright style. The copious breakfast is produced with bacon, sausages, and eggs from the farm. A converted barn is also available for self-catering.

The peaceful village of Wellingham itself is located in the heart of rural Norfolk with miles of beautiful country walks nearby. Historical sites in the area include the Royal Sandringham Estate, Castle Acre Priory, Walsingham Abbey and Holkham Hall.

The bustling market towns of Fakenham and Swaffham are within ten miles and the celebrated North Norfolk Coast is easily accessible, from bustling Cromer with its historic pier and famous Cromer crab, to more tranquil seaside spots including the spectacular sandy beach at Holkham, featured in the closing scenes of the film Shakespeare in Love.
