Litcham Hall

Litcham Hall was built in 1781; for the whole of the nineteenth century it was the doctor’s house in Litcham and today remains the centre of the community. This magnificent house has a grand Georgian façade and inside, the elegant reception rooms are splendidly furnished in style to reflect the period.

The spacious en suite bedrooms offer exceptional comfort and delightful views over the grounds. The gardens themselves are stunning, with an Italian walled garden, a rose covered pergola, a wild spring garden and more. A swimming pool in a sheltered spot is open in the summer months.

Surrounded by countryside in the beautiful Nar Valley, the village of Litcham is an ideal base for further exploration. There are a number of historic houses in the vicinity, including Royal Sandringham, Jacobean National Trust Blickling Hall and the superb estate surrounding Palladian Holkham Hall.

The coast is a twenty mile drive to the north, with easy access to some of North Norfolk’s most picturesque coastal settlements: Wells-next-the-Sea with its quaint seaside atmosphere, Brancaster with its salt marshes and a little inland Burnham Market, with an array of delis, restaurants, cafés and boutiques. The Queen’s Norfolk retreat at Sandringham is also close by.

The cathedral city of Norwich is also only twenty-five miles away for historic treasures and fine shopping and dining.
