Rushmeadow Bed and Breakfast

Within strolling distance of the RSPB sanctuary at Titchwell Marsh, which plays host to numerous birds including bitterns, redshanks and avocets, Rushmeadow provides comfortable Bed and Breakfast accommodation in a lovely flint cottage.

Both well-appointed rooms have views across the marshes to the sea and all the usual amenities, while a full English breakfast is served in the attractive dining room. Self-catering accommodation is also available in Rushmeadow Studio, a homely cottage with a full range of facilities.

Thornham is a village of charming cottages with a secluded beach that was once a favourite destination for smugglers. The marshes etched by veins of saltwater are a popular destination for walkers, artists and photographers, with the Boat House and Thornham Stumps being oft-depicted scenes.

The dramatic scenery of the Heritage Coast can easily be accessed by road and the Norfolk Coast Path, a national trail. The coastal golf of Brancaster, the colourful quayside of Wells-next-the-Sea, and the elegant Holkham Hall with its highly rated beach and are within a short journey east.

To the west is the popular resort town of Hunstanton, and Sandringham, the Norfolk retreat of HM The Queen, is a major attraction. The medieval port town of King’s Lynn is a thirty-minute drive.
