Church Farm Barns

Tucked away in the South Norfolk countryside on the edge of the pretty village of Little Melton, Church Farm Barns offers friendly Bed and Breakfast accommodation in two spacious and comfortable rooms with views over the far–reaching Norfolk fields and woods which surround this country retreat.

Each room has a sleigh or king-size bed with Egyptian cotton sheets and an en suite shower room or a large state-of-the art bathroom for designer luxury. The delicious Norfolk breakfast can be taken in the large beamed farmhouse kitchen, at a window table in the pretty sitting room warmed by a wood-burning stove in winter, or in a sunny walled courtyard on summer mornings. The menu includes kedgeree as well as all the traditional options – the owner is an accomplished cook and evening meals are available by arrangement.

The barns are in an ideal location for country walks, cycling and exploring, but also just five miles from the cathedral city of Norwich, Britain’s most complete medieval city, with a wealth of architectural gems, both traditional and modern. The Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and the University of East Anglia are easily reached from Little Melton.

Wymondham is a similar distance, dominated by the twin towers of the magnificent Abbey built in 1107 and noted for its stunning Market Cross. The town has a range of restaurants, including a bistro in the unique setting of the restored railway station.

The Norfolk Broads and the award-winning coastlines of both Norfolk and Suffolk are also within easy reach.
