The Bedingfeld Arms

The Bedingfeld Arms was built as a coaching inn in 1783; the impressive building has been stylishly renovated and now houses a welcoming pub, a restaurant with period furniture and beautiful windows, and elegant Bed and Breakfast accommodation.

The fine food served in the two dining rooms is sourced from high-quality ingredients from local farms and estates, and the extensive menu features Modern British cuisine.

All the accommodation has the latest in modern amenities and ranges from cosy contemporary rooms in the Coach House to four luxurious rooms in the main building with four-poster, sleigh or cast iron beds. The gorgeous Bedingfeld Suite is in shades of white and ivory with a carved white four-poster bed.

The Bedingfeld Arms is in a superb location opposite the National Trust’s Oxburgh Hall, a romantic, moated manor house, built by the Bedingfeld family in the fifteenth century. The village of Oxburgh is seven miles from the splendid Georgian market town of Swaffham and close to Gooderstone Water Gardens and the fascinating Iceni Village nature reserve and museums in Cockley Cley. Walkers can enjoy the nearby Peddar’s Way/North Norfolk Coast path.

Under an hour’s drive to the north lie Royal Sandringham and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty and a haven for those who enjoy gourmet food and browsing in specialist shops. Nature reserves, sandy beaches and quaint coastal fishing villages can all be found here.
