The Bull Inn

Part of a range of 15th and 16th century buildings on the Common Place (village square), the Bull Inn provides Bed and Breakfast accommodation in an historic setting, just 30 seconds from the Anglican Shrine and three minutes from the Catholic Shrine’s Pilgrims Bureau.

Twin and double rooms are stylishly decorated and offer all the usual amenities and a full English breakfast.

The pub serves a range of traditional home cooked fare, including pies and ploughmans lunches and Sunday roasts, as well as an array of beers, including carefully selected guest ales. The pub offers both sheltered and sun-trap courtyard areas.

An important Christian pilgrimage site since 1061, Walsingham was restored in the 20th century with both Anglican and Catholic replica shrines. The atmospheric village of historical timber-framed buildings also features a museum.

Wells-next-the Sea is a lively quayside town boasting pine-fringed beaches, art galleries and independent stores, and is connected to Walsingham via a delightful light railway. The stunning North Norfolk Heritage Coast offers dramatically changing views, nature reserves, basking seals and timeless villages.

The market towns of Fakenham and Thursford, famed for the country’s largest Christmas spectacular, are both within five miles; the cathedral city of Norwich is a fifty-minute drive.
