Abbey Farm

This beautiful pink-washed farmhouse dates from the sixteenth century and is set in large grounds. Inside, ancient fireplaces and oak beams continue the country house feel. The two bedrooms painted in muted colours, one en suite and one with a private bathroom, have pretty iron beds – one king-size – and gorgeous bedding.

The Full English breakfast, continental buffet or a special ‘on the go’ breakfast for busy people are all served in the attractive dining room which is also available for business lunch meetings.

Many Norfolk attractions are close by: the celebrated gardens and Steam Museum of Adrian Bloom at Bressingham, Banham Zoo and Snetterton Race Circuit are all on the doorstep. Nearby are the bustling market towns of Eye, Diss and Harleston, all with fascinating historic buildings, speciality shops and a range of good restaurants. Thrandeston is also within easy reach of both Bury St Edmunds and the magnificent city of Norwich for a wealth of architectural gems, both traditional and modern.

The beauty of the Suffolk Coast and its quaint seaside towns can be reached in under an hour, making this an ideal base for a country holiday.
