Greyhound House

Once a coaching inn, this traditional timber-framed house has been restored with care, and now offers three beamed rooms decorated in pale colours; their period style has been retained and enhanced with smart contemporary features for comfort.

All three rooms have luxurious beds and linens and one has a stunning French-style antique bed. Breakfast is served in a sunny dining room and there are several seating areas in a delightful garden with a visiting peacock.

Brockdish is a picturesque village situated on the River Waveney on the Norfolk/Suffolk border surrounded by walking and cycle routes. It is an ideal base for exploring the attractions of South Norfolk and North Suffolk. The historic market towns of Diss, Harleston and Beccles – known as the Gateway to the Broads – are within a few miles.

The Suffolk Heritage Coast, with Minsmere Bird Sanctuary and the splendid beaches at Southwold, Dunwich and Aldeburgh, is well worth a visit.

The fine cathedral city of Norwich, about forty minutes drive to the north, has a magnificent Norman cathedral and castle and is one of the top ten UK shopping destinations with two shopping malls, winding back streets with individual boutiques and a celebrated open air market right in the centre.
