The Fisherman's Return

In the heart of the picturesque village of Winterton-on-Sea the Fisherman’s Return is popular with locals and visitors alike for its friendly welcome, real ales and delicious food. The location is also a big draw – long stretches of sandy beaches and country walks are within minutes of the pub.

The food here is freshly cooked and traditional and there is a daily changing specials blackboard featuring fresh fish delivered daily from Lowestoft and meat and game from the local butcher.

Three smart, newly refurbished rooms are now available for an overnight stay and a hearty breakfast. These are beautifully decorated in neutral tones and are well equipped for comfort.

Winterton-on-Sea is a rather special seaside village known for its long sandy beach, dunes and tranquil nature reserves. The flat terrain is ideal for walking and cycling and the sea fishing is excellent. Coarse fishing opportunities are only two miles away at the start of the Norfolk Broads at West Somerton.

The village is on the edge of the Broads National Park and all the tranquil, reed-fringed inland waterways of the Norfolk Broads are accessible from the area, and for a traditional seaside day out, Great Yarmouth is only ten miles to the south.

The fine city of Norwich is also within easy reach, with a magnificent Norman castle and cathedral, winding cobbled streets and great shopping, restaurants and café bars.
