The Angel Inn, Larling

This award-winning pub (Norfolk’s CAMRA pub of the year 2013) offers historic character downstairs with a traditional beamed bar serving a wide range of ales – the pub is host to Norfolk’s largest beer festival. Tasty freshly-cooked food is served in the wood-panelled lounge where a collection of whisky water jugs sits on the mantelpiece.

Upstairs the accommodation is smart and pretty in well appointed rooms with en suite bathrooms and free WiFi connection. Self-catering cottage accommodation is also available.

Four acres of meadows surround the pub with open farmland views; Snetterton Race circuit is just one mile away and the English Whisky Distillery and Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum are also close by.

A few miles further, Thetford Forest, Britain’s largest lowland pine forest has way marked trails, a network of cycle routes and designated spots of natural beauty for picnics.

The historic treasures of Cambridge, Norwich and Bury St.Edmunds, and the award-winning sandy beaches and quaint coastal resorts of the Norfolk and Suffolk coastline are all under an hour’s drive.
