The King William IV

Opened as an alehouse in 1836, the King William IV is still a traditional family-run inn and restaurant, refurbished in recent years to add luxurious accommodation in nine en suite bedrooms furnished to a high standard of comfort.

The copious breakfasts here have won an ETB award and the restaurant has built a fine reputation for its fresh fish, meat and poultry dishes using seasonal local produce; specialities include Brancaster Mussels, Steak & Ale Pie and Snettisham Park Venison.

Sedgeford has a reputation for being one of the friendliest villages in Norfolk. It is situated within a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, surrounded by open undulating countryside. Royal Sandringham, the Norfolk Lavender Company and historic Holkham Hall are some of the many attractions in the area.

Nearby Hunstanton offers traditional resort entertainment, Blue Flag beaches and exciting water sports. From here the rest of the celebrated North Norfolk Coast is easily accessible, from bustling Cromer with its historic pier and famous crab, to more tranquil spots including the spectacular sandy beach at Holkham, featured in the closing scenes of the film ‘Shakespeare in Love’, and the seals at Blakeney Point.
