Pippins
Recently converted from the barn of what was formerly a fruit farm, Pippins Cottage provides snug traditional accommodation for three in the grounds of the award-winning Bed and Breakfast house Seven Acres. The sitting room has a wood-burning stove and French windows lead out from it to a sunny terrace and enclosed garden.
Within easy walking distance are the traditional pubs and restaurants of nearby Coltishall, often called the Gateway to the Broads, and from here it is only three miles to Wroxham, the perfect place for boat hire, whether just for an hour or the whole day.
Just eight miles away Norwich city centre has cobbled streets and lanes exuding medieval charm, including some remains of the ancient city walls and a wealth of historic buildings. The Norman cathedral is one of the finest in England, and the majestic castle with its fine twelfth century keep is prominently situated overlooking the city.
All this contrasts with the modern, including the state-of-the-art Forum, the Riverside development, a celebrated open air market and two smart shopping malls.
The North Norfolk Coast, with its fine sandy beaches, fishing villages, bird sanctuaries and coastal footpaths is under an hour’s drive.
